I went to London for one month at the start of 2010 with my brother and two friends. We are all football fanatics and planned to see at least one Chelsea match at Stamford Bridge. Our hotel was fairly distant from the grounds and we ended up getting lost 10 minutes into the journey. An old man approached us and asked us where we were from. We told him what we were doing there and his eyes instantly lit up. He began singing and bought all of us beer as he introduced us to his friends, who were some of the funniest and friendliest people I’ve ever met. We merged into a large crowd and cheered and sang all the way to the game with our newly made friends. The team ended up winning and that called for an after party. The old man got ridiculously drunk and was found sitting outside asking the stray dogs to be friends with him because his leprechaun had abandoned him. It was a holiday I will always remember!
