Paper Planes Cafe

Paper Planes 2

For those who constantly want to discover new brunch hotspots in Sydney like myself, Paper Planes Café is worth putting on your to-do list. The Café is located in the quieter side of Parramatta, where one can escape the busy shoppers and workers and enjoy a pleasant meal. The atmosphere of the café is cheerful, with energetic waiters even in the early morning.

The menu had a wide selection of options, ranging from the ever so simple “eggs your way” to exotic lunch items like the “Carne Asada Fries”. Upon seeing the description for the fries (Bad Boys topped with Chunky Beef, salsa, smashed avocado, diced tomatoes, jalapenos and sour cream), I decided I simply had to try them. To my disappointment, I was told that the lunch menu only starts at 12pm.

Brushing my disappointment aside, we decided to try the ‘Eggs “Your Way”’ ($7) and the ‘The Monte Cristo’ ($13). The scrambled eggs was something you can find in most brunch restaurants but the Monte Cristo was very interesting. Ham, turkey, Swiss cheese sandwiched between two slices of thick French toast with a dash of cranberry sauce inside definitely was the ultimate brunch food. My next mission is definitely to try the lunch menu they have on offer and finally try the Carne Asada Fries.
