Vegan food experience at Rubyfruit

Written by The Bug

In this easter break, me and my mates decided to go to blue mountains for hiking. It was a nice weather, a little bit of cloudy but it improved over the course of the day. On our  way there, one of my friend suggested to go to Rubyfruit. Its a nice and cozy vegan cafe situated in the Leura mall. I have been to many vegan restaurants/cafes before, but this one of the best which I have experienced. The staff was very polite and helpful. Its a perfect place to relax and chat with friends.

At first we ordered milkshakes, cheesecakes and cupcakes. i ordered a chocolate milkshake. It was a vegan milkshake, it was made from soy milk and strangely it tasted the same, even better  than the ordinary milkshakes. it was very refreshing and delicious. The cheesecakes were very tasty and way beyond than what I expected them to be.

For our mains, I ordered Satay Tofu wrap. It was a wholegrain wrap containing organic tofu, carrot, Spanish onion, peanut satay sauce and greens. I chose potato salad as the side salad.

We also ordered ‘Power salad’ and ‘Green with Envy Frittata’. Power salad contained leafy greens, carrot, beetroot, cabbage, sesame seeds topped with avocado and hummus.  The latter had baked frittata packed with kale, olives, semi-dried potatoes. served with chilli sauce and salad. 11917780_1705510703017410_732376823_nThe food not only looked delicious, but also tasted delicious. It was a very pleasant experience for us. We had a good meal before going for hiking and it was worth visiting this place. If you are planning to visit blue mountains anytime soon, it will be a good experience to visit this place.
